Terms and Conditions for Lamps/Chairs/Furniture

These general terms and conditions apply to every offer made by the entrepreneur and to all distance contracts concluded between the entrepreneur and the consumer.
By placing your order, you indicate that you agree to the delivery, warranty, and payment conditions of Lumière Living.
Lumière Living reserves the right to change the delivery, warranty, and payment conditions. For a concluded purchase agreement, the conditions that applied on the date stated on the invoice will be applicable.

Agreement Execution.

The website clearly describes how and within what timeframe delivery or shipment will take place before the agreement is concluded. If goods are not deliverable or shippable on time, you will be informed of this. Please note that shipping and delivery are two different things. Shipping means the product is dispatched within that period, and delivery refers to the duration of the delivery itself. In that case, you can agree to the new delivery date or the alternative offered, or you can dissolve the agreement free of charge.

Prices.

All stated prices include VAT. We are not responsible for (color) deviations due to your screen quality or ignorance. Prices include shipping costs unless otherwise indicated. If shipping costs are charged, this will be clearly stated before the agreement is concluded.

Right of Withdrawal.

You have the right to revoke the agreement within 30 days (without stating reasons). The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you, acquires possession of the goods. This does not apply if you have purchased a piece of furniture with a self-chosen color, size, or fabric. For chairs and sofas, these are upholstered to order within 12 hours. This is also the duration of the right of withdrawal.

Exercise of Right of Withdrawal.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must send a clear statement by post or email informing us of your decision to withdraw from the agreement.

General Terms and Conditions for Sofas.

Warranty

1. Our products are covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. This warranty covers a period of two years for seams and seating constructions. Damage caused by the user is not covered by this warranty.

2. Warranty does not apply to showroom models.

3. Signs of wear such as pilling, discoloration, and creasing are not covered by the warranty.

4. Defects upon delivery must be reported within 2 days by email, including photos and proof of purchase, to info@lumiereliving.nl.

5. In certain cases, the manufacturer may be involved, but we remain the primary point of contact and remain responsible for the customer.

6. Imperfections may occur during the production process; in such cases, you must give us the opportunity to rectify any defects.

Order

1. We reserve the right not to accept the order or a part thereof.

2. Changes after placing the order must be communicated in writing within 2 days via email to info@lumiereliving.nl. We reserve the right not to accept changes if they are no longer possible with the manufacturer.

Delivery Time

1. Stated delivery times are only indications, as our products are usually made to order.

2. If the expected delivery time has passed, we have an additional period of 1 month to deliver.

Delivery

  1. When delivering furniture, it will be delivered to the door unless otherwise agreed or indicated. We are not liable for any damage to your home when carrying it inside.

    2. It is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture fits into your home. If delivery beyond the threshold is impossible, a threshold delivery applies.

    3. Extra costs will be charged if multiple deliveries are required.

    4. Products can be stored for a maximum of 1 month after the latest delivery date, after which costs may be charged.

Price and Payment

1. Products are supplied at the prices valid at the time of purchase.

2. Purchased products remain the property of Lumière Living until they are fully paid for.

3. Any problems with delivery will be resolved, but full payment is required.

Article 6. Returning online orders

1. Products can be returned within 14 days, unless they are excluded from the right of withdrawal. Custom-made products are not covered by the right of withdrawal.

2. When exercising the right of withdrawal, the product must remain unused and unopened. Costs may be charged for damage, missing packaging, or parts.

3. Return costs are at your expense.

4. After receiving the return, we will refund all payments within 14 days, with the exception of delivery costs.

Subject to change:

Sizes and dimensions are indicative and not binding. Due to manual production, small deviations may occur. Other product information is subject to errors, typesetting, and printing errors. Colors in images may differ from the actual product.

General Terms and Conditions for Mattresses

The following terms and conditions apply to the purchase of a mattress through our company. By placing an order, the buyer agrees to these conditions:

1. No Trial Sleep for Applied Mattresses

Our mattresses are offered at competitive prices because we work with batches, surplus stock, and returns. This means we cannot offer the same conditions as some manufacturers, such as Emma, who offer trial sleep or return options.

  • It is not possible to use trial sleep or return a mattress after use, regardless of the duration of use.
  • Mattresses can only be returned if they are unused, undamaged, and in their original and sealed packaging.

2. Hygienic Considerations

For hygienic reasons, we do not accept returns of opened or used mattresses.

  • Upon opening the original packaging, it is assumed that the mattress has been used. This voids the right to return or exchange.
  • This measure is taken to protect all our customers and to comply with strict hygiene requirements.

3. Delivery time per country:

Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg: 2-5 business days.

France: 4-5 business days.

Spain: 4 business days.

Italy: 5 business days.

Portugal: 5-6 business days.

Sweden: 4 business days.

Denmark: 4-5 business days.

4. Prices and Batch Stocks

We offer mattresses at reduced prices because we purchase surplus stock, batches, and returns. This may mean that:

  • The packaging may contain minimal cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches or dents), but the product itself is in new condition.
  • The product does not automatically come with additional services such as trial sleep or free returns.
  • Our mattresses come from different production series and countries, which may result in variations in foam type, firmness, and appearance compared to the photos shown.
